A Family Business Since the Start

Our roots in the insurance world go back to 1997, when Amy Cerar’s father, Jeff, opened a local agency right here in Horseheads, NY. Amy followed in his footsteps, starting her own agency in 2010. By 2015, their shared passion for client-focused service led to the founding of W.J. Farmer Insurance Agency, LLC—a family-led team with deep local ties and a growing client base across New York and Pennsylvania. We’ve come a long way from a one-desk office. But our commitment to personal service hasn’t changed a bit.
